After unlink, my new Steam ID cannot be bound to my EA account

so you had a steam account linked to the EA account, which you then unlinked, so you could link a new Steam account to the EA account?

If so, that's unfortunately not possible as an EA account can only be linked with one Steam account in its lifetime.

You cannot bind your new Steam account to your EA account that already had a different Steam account attached to it before, as the once-in-a-lifetime rules cannot be circumvented.

Steam accounts can be connected to different EA accounts throughout their lifetime, though. It's just the EA account that cannot be attached to the same kind of platform account more than once.

I would not recommend deleting your original EA account, as any games you had bought through that would be lost.
