Purchasing multiple packs at once?

I am not sure where else to ask this.  I already contacted EA support and the gentleman did not in any way help me. He did not understand what I was asking and we spent way too long going in circles.  He told me to build a bundle, which requires me to pick one of several pack types and I want several of the same pack type and some kits.

My husband gave me theoretical money to send on the Sims so I wanted to buy between 4 and 6 different packs during this sale.  Why can't I add multiple packs to a cart and check out at once?  Every time I click to buy a pack, it takes me right to the check out screen where I put in card details.  It asks if I want to buy 2 kits but I don't want those ones.  It will only seemingly let me purchase one at a time.  I don't want like 6 little microtransactions on my card and to type in my details that many times.  How do I buy MANY packs at once?  Ultimately, I just ended up not buying anything until I got it sorted.

@coldfrenchfries  You need to give us sume basic information. Are you on a pc or mac? Are you using Origin or the EA app? Is your base game a Steam version? I'm guessing EA does not do it's own money processing. The EA game consultants probably won't know. Your trying to do this right after the storm of the century hit the US and runs right into an unusual three day holiday weekend. A lot of unusual things could and did happen. A lot of places close for the whole holiday week.

Sorry- I've been trying to purchase for 2 weeks.  It said they were open and available for customer service so I just tried it - didn't know about a storm?

I'm on a PC using a normal version of the game - not with Steam.  I tried to do it on the Origin app, tried to do just the website for EA, then downloaded the EA app and tried.  All seem to work the exact same way.

    Hey @coldfrenchfries,

I know what you mean; a shopping cart for the EA app, that stores all the things you're looking to purchase, so you can purchase them at once if you want. 🙂

This is indeed not something that is currently possible via the EA app or the ea.com website, or Origin even. But thanks for the feedback!

That really stinks.  My card declines "duplicate transactions" so I just figured out I'm going to have to wait like 4 days to purchase them all since 3 or 4 will be the same price.  I'm honestly bummed and kind of makes me not to want to bother.

@coldfrenchfries, I am sorry to hear that. It is kinda odd that your card (bank) declines double (small?) transactions withing an x amount of time, but I think it is their 'fraud prevention system' that is causing this. Maybe you can check with your bank to see if they can whitelist some stores/shops/services?

I've had the same issue for years..

It is not new and frankly, I don't think EA cares to fix this.

With Origin it was not possible to buy several packs of the same type (two or more kits, for instance), and it is still not possible to do so with EA app.

Actually, I am surprised that EA does not do anything to simplify the purchasing of multiple packs.

It is in their interest to grab our money as fast as they can before we think more and choose not to bother.

I started buying games online 10 years ago. I got a computer that was able to run The Sims and I had wanted that game for years.

I bought The Sims 3 and use The Store to buy most add ons for it.

Then EA got Origin. I used to consider buying other EA games, but soon after getting TS3, and because of Electronic Arts' negligence with customer service, lack of quality control and frank disreguard for the customer in general, I only buy packs for The Sims because EA has this franchise.

But maybe, other options are opening and I will not need to depend on indifferent EA.

I wanted to express my opinion here, but I honestly do not believe that EA will ever do something to address the issue about not being possible to buy multiple packs of the same type at once.

    A simple shopping cart feature.
