  • This is awful.  I've been playing APEX for 3 years now and you're telling me you've release a new app that doesn't even have the same functionality as the old app????  Please provide me with the original Origin app so I can use the features required.  Advanced launch options - fps counter.

  • [EDIT] APEX uses the Source engine, rendering this post irrelevant.

    PerfOverlay.DrawFPS 1

firstly, i do not know if that command works in APEX.  secondly, you would have to open the console and type that in each time you play the game.

I feel you, it is absolutely unbelievable that they removed several features in the EA app which Origin had (and Origin wasn't the best launcher  to begin with, so that's really saying something)

That said though, Apex Legends has a built in FPS counter. Go to Settings -> Gameplay and scroll down, enable "Performance Display". It will show you FPS and also your current Ping, among other stats. This is also better perfomance-wise, because the Origin-FPS counter was an overlay, which used resources, the native apex fps counter does not.

  • here we are, a few months later.

Origin has officially stopped and we have all been forced on to the new EA app..

We have been forced on to an app that still does  not have an FPS counter, it's such a simple thing that we would like!

EA must have spent millions on replacing origin (which was fine actually) why not ask a software engineer to spend an hour or so to get the fps monitor up?

The more the years go by, the more EA dissapoint in so many ways!

I know exactly how you feel. After being a member of these forums for a while, I do enjoy reading members posts, like yours too.

I am writing because I think they probably do get looked at by the site hosts. The problem is usually looking, doesn't result in a reply.

However, there are many helpful members here and stuff does get figured out.

Sadly on this topic and I can't offer any insight. It's baffling that such topics seem to be ingnored.

But, there is hope, seriously. Other posters do in fact provide answers from time to time. Clever members here.

But on this thread. I've given up totally. One bright spot is that the app does have a measure of stability now as long it is used for

only for the basic functions. It's easily confused, still.

TBH, I don't really mind now. Treat EA app with kids gloves, make sure your data is accurate, to the point, verified and the games usually work as they should.

    Cheers!
