Shutdown the EA App and go back to Origin

This thing should've never existed in the first place, why is it so damn slow and not working?? This launcher is getting me so mad, one whole holiday gone, because this thing just doesnt work!

The app wont even launch for me, and I tried for 6 hours last night looking up solutions. I've spent so much money on the sims, and I just want to play my stupid game! I don't get why they forced us off of origin when they had just finally gotten it mostly stable. I don't want to be a tester! I want a finished app!

@Babuna_LagunaWhy is it slow and not working? Let me tell you how the landscape of software development looks like right now (I work as a sw dev myself so I know).

1. MBA types are managing the development projects and all they care about is to release an MVP (i.e. a minimum viable product) so they can collect their bonuses.

2. Because such releases make users unhappy, companies bleed money and then cannot afford good developers so they start leaving in droves and they start hiring juniors or outsourcing to cheap workforce in 3rd world countries who can barely understand English.

3. Those juniors or contractors in turn not only have no clue about proper software design (they ask ChatGPT to write code for them now), but also don't have common sense or any ethics (and even if they did they aren't allowed to say "no" when asked to do something in a certain way).

4. Instead of writing a fucntional specification and then sticking to it when implementing a product, what goes into the product is now decided in endless hours of management meetings where each of them wants things done their way leading to a state of flux where nobody knows what features the final product should have, much less how exactly they should work.

5. Instead of implementing base product and then spending some time to polish it based on user feedback, already incompetent developers are forced to keep adding new features requested by the even more incompetent management because adding features means growth and endless growth is the only thing that satisfies shareholders.

This won't get better until software engineering starts being regulated like other forms of engineering (say mechanical, electrical, or civil) -- as long as everyone and their grandma can say "I am a developer" without passing a serious test of both skill and ethics to obtain a license and then facing civil or criminal liability for accepting to perform shoddy or outright malicious work the code quality all around will keep getting worse.

I agree they need to go back to the ORIGIN app as soon as possible, most of the games i paid for will not run using the EA app.

And after putting in a few bug reports all that happens is they ask the thing over and over again and do not provide any help solving 

the problem. The best thing possible is go back to the ORIGIN app so i can continue playing the games a paid for.

OK, but how?

My Origin have big EA App screen and I can't do anything, but download the app... 

Any ideas?

I want to play Mass Effect, but I can't bcs EA app do not show my games, and Origin have EA app screen... 

 Help, pls...

I can't even download games or updates anymore despite doing the so called "app recovery" I having to use a bootleg version of Origin to update games. Complete failure by the designers. 

This is just one small symptom of the widespread collusion and abuse of market power.

I will be filing a complain with the FTC as well as writing my Congressional representatives to demand they START holding these out of control corporations accountable I know it's a pain, but I highly recommend everyone who feels that these tactics are deliberate to file a complain with your local BBB as well as filing a complaint with the FTC:

They clearly don't care about their customers, much less provide adequate GOOD FAITH support. No, it is NOT acceptable to withhold support because you think someone isn't being "respectful," as I saw in posts from support in this thread. I have decades of customer and technical support experience, including management, and such a statement from even one of my tier 1 agents would require immediate coaching, retraining, and likely would be a writeup and warning for job avoidance. I spent my last 10 in hospitality (hotels), and that sort of response may well have gotten someone fired in that environment. No, you don't have to take personal abuse, but trying to be the tone police to get out of support is just ridiculously horrible support. 

EA app is Garbage and rubbish. Origin is best over the EA app because EA app doesn't display exact artwork of the games with specific edition within library. Where Origin does have shown every edition of any game with exact art work. It's inconsistent UI is ridiculous. EA app is a rubbish.
