If you have any game son steam. They still use Origin that's a way to get it back. I am surprise they took it down on there site though. That was unexpected let alone so soon.
But if you download the EA app, it automatically removes Origin. Hence the question, "is there a way to get Origin back?'" If you try to launch Apex through steam, as a non steam game ( I cant be bothered to download apex through steam again) it says, "Origin is not installed, and is required to play your game. Please reinstall origin." So you go to the Origin website and get redirected to this amazing, perfectly working EA App. The issue I'm having is not being able to save any launch options. Man, do I love being forced onto a buggy non-functioning app made by a Billion dollar company. At least make sure the app works before removing the option to switch back. So frustrating.
Edit: I was able to download Origin again by googling "Origin download" and a couple hits down is Softonic. I suggest uninstalling the EA app through your Add and Remove Programs prior to reinstalling Origin. But other than that, I have Origin back!!! Thank god i dont have to listen to that extremely loud splash screen intro again!

For anyone, like me, looking to re-install Origin: I haven't been able to find it anywhere (safe) online. It's no longer on Softonic, as far as I can tell. I was able to find my setup download from back when I first purchased my computer (bad digital housekeeping for the win!) and Origin is now installing the DLC that the EA app would not even acknowledge I own.

As an EA Play Pro member who spends a decent amount of money with EA, please shelve EA Desktop until the features and functionality match that of Origin. This app is not an improvement at the current stage it is in.
