A way to get origin client back?

Is there a way to get the origin client back? None of my games transferred over and it seems the client download was wiped along with the release of EA desktop beta, or im not looking hard enough. I was able to recover the download client after deleting it but its broken and i cant even login.

@THE_Crazy_Hyena Yeah, something like that, look in the feedback part, 33pages behind is our feedback, this is just hilarious.
  • There is also a system to get Origin back.
This is an adaptation/update of the procedure originally posted by "Ha_DHuWe" in this same forum. All the credits to him.

    1) Uninstall your Origin, because EA's new patch (10.5.122) broke everything again

    2) Use the 10.5.119 Full Version
DO NOT trust the links provided by EA, they refer to new versions that DO NOT work anymore and force that APP anyway!
The original "OriginSetup.exe" file (Full Version 10.5.119) MUST have:
    1)
    233,656 KB (228 MB or 239,263,472 bytes)
    2)
    MD5: 6cc246ee36e64353d2c06d9b01f11f1a
    SHA-256: 96dd509049603220aad072d10730d864ce6a7dd6501fe86e45903d92fa13c0f1
    Otherwise it's NOT him.
If you can't find it, I can provide it to you.

    3) Install and be sure to remove the checkboxes from the paragraphs on "automatic update"

    4) After installation DO NOT log into your account !!!
Go to "C:\ProgramData\Origin" and open in WordPad or NotePad the file "local.xml", the last line there will be </Settings>.
Before the last line add this line:
    <Setting key="MigrationDisabled" type="1" value="true"/>

    5) Delete the 2 files called "OriginThinSetupInternal.exe" which are located in TWO LOCATIONS.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin
    And
    C:\ProgramData\Origin\SelfUpdate\Staged

    6) You can NOW log into your Origin account and everything should work.
There may be a small update notification at the top of the Origin window, just don't click it (you can close it by clicking the cross).

With this procedure you will get Origin back, but it is not certain that you will find your games.
EA is a company of nasty and touchy teenagers and instead of helping their customers who can't play with their CrAPP, they bully NOT to let Origin continue and have closed the servers that certified the various game properties.
But for some it still works...you can try it and hope it works for you.

    >>> When you have to buy a new video game... REMEMBER ALL THIS!

    Best wishes.

    😉

I think the issue lies with the uninstaller built into the EA App. Try Revo Uninstaller and nuke anything to do with the EA App and Origin then try again from scratch after a reboot.
