Automatically signed up for email notifications

As the title says, was automatically signed up for email notifications without EA asking me to sign-up for these emails.

This is a breach of GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive and should not be happening.

Could an EA member please confirm that this problem has been noticed and what action/actions they will be taking to rectify this.

Could you clarify what you mean by “automatically signed up for email notifications”? Are you referring to receiving emails about forum threads where you’ve posted replies yourself, or are you getting random emails from us or the forums? If so, could you specify what those emails are about?

Hi EA_Leeuw, I am referring to the EA Forums Daily Digest email.

This specific email was alerting me that I have "earned a new badge" on the EA forums.
