Don't know what happened, after EA updated at 0800 UTC (2:00 am CST USA) I now get a black screen on launch of BF2042. This is happening to other people in the Battlefield Discord server.
EDIT: This is the new EA Desktop Games Manager. Not Origin, Not Steam.
I got the blackscreen issue with Origin and EA Game manager after the latest update.
Same here. I did update my graphics drivers last night but I was still able to launch the game. But after this update just black screen. I haven’t tried reverting to previous drivers, but I feel I shouldn’t have to just for one game imo.
i fooled around in Origin for a bit. exited Origin and tried to load BF2042 thru EA Desktop. BOOYAH!!! have no idea what I did but it is running and i don’t plan on exiting the game anytime soon.
would have responded sooner but I’m battling a strep like throat.
Reverted to previous drivers and did not help. Restarted my pc as well after reverting and still nothing. Went ahead and reinstalled the latest driver and I guess I’ll just wait until it’s resolved.
same here tested everything still not working, This is on EA side to fix..
