Bought BF1 on Steam, will Refund remove my EA copy?

So I bought BF1, BFV, Battlefront 1 and 2 on steam thinking it would just run off the steam app.  I bought all these games previously through Origin/Ea before they were available on Steam.  Once I realized I still need to use you EA account I thought about just refunding my steam purchases.  If I do this, will it remove the games from my EA account as well?  I've looked for answers but all I could find were posts from 4 years ago saying both copies were removed, so I'm asking if anything has changed since then?

    Hi @Maddog8400,

    Refunding a game from Steam will not remove your game from EA app if it was also purchased on EA app.

    When purchasing a game on Steam it's necessary to have your Steam and EA accounts linked in order to play the games. Once a game is purchased on Steam it will also appear on EA app but you will need to use the Steam platform to launch the game. If you have the game only purchased on Steam, then when you refund the game, it will disappear from the EA app. If you have the game purchased on both platforms, refunding it on Steam will not remove the game from the EA app.
