Cant download any EA play games.

Hello everyone,

I got EA Play via Gamepass a couple of months ago now but I can't download any games from it. I've tried a lot of solutions and none have addressed my issue or fixed it. 

The issue: When I click the download button, it shows a spinning downloading icon for a second or two and then the icon goes away and nothing happens. I've attached a screenshot of what I'm talking about.

I've tried deleting then reinstalling multiple times, running as admin, ending background task THEN reinstalling, clearing the cache, installing in D drive, deleting files from the app's file directory and I'm pretty sure I've tried some more things as well.

    i can also confirm that this solution is void, doesn't work whatsoever. idk why ea couldnt have just stuck with origin, there have been problems with ea desktop with a lot of people I know

    Hi @TodgerToucher24,

    The workaround was valid at the time, but I am unsure if it still works as the version of the app should be the same when you download it through the Xbox app. 

    If you are still having this issue, then could you please post about it in the Bug Reports section and tag me?

    This is more of a General Discussion forum where we can discuss the app, but for real bugs/issue I would prefer to have them in the Bug Reports section.

    I have the same problem i cant download ANY game!! Its says theres a HICCUS and i should restart. When i restart, nothing happens...

    @SamotionYT I have a similar problem too. With my Xbox account that has GamePass Ultimate (I have set it as a child account for reasons) every time I try and download Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order from the Xbox PC app it says "your collection is empty. you need a code from your parent or guardian to download a game"

    Hi, @Paristor 

    Have you tried reaching out to both Xbox Support and EA Support?

    If you change your Xbox account to adult does it allow you to download it? That can give a good indication it could be related to child account settings for download restrictions. Perhaps change to adult and after downloading switch it back to child?

    This is likely due to some type of account configuration. If that does not fix it for you, we advise getting in touch with Xbox Support & EA Support as we are not able to discuss or change private account information here on a public channel.

    Please keep us filled in on what the fix was for you as others in the community will be able to come across the answer. Sorry for the trouble, let us know if you have any questions.

    If you have any issues with EA app please make a new topic about your problems and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.
