For some reason when I go to download Battlefield 4 through Xbox Gamepass on PC, It opens up EA Desktop and gets stuck on the loading screen prior to downloading. Is there any solution to this?

That's not supposed to happen, could you explain to me where you get to see the loading circle? Is it when you are trying to log in, when going to My Collection, when downloading BF4, or somewhere else?
A screenshot would really help.
In general I would suggest clearing the cache via the App Recovery and to uninstall EA Desktop and reinstall it via the Xbox App.
