The EA Desktop App just isnt working AT ALL.I contacted support once and they were totally unhelpful and treated it like it was a game??? Which means they didnt even read my description. Ridiculous.So anyhow, I've reinstalled the app, cleared cache, tried EVERYTHING. It just flashes and doesn't show up. If I right click the icon in lower left and hit sign out, the sign in screen will pop up, I can sign in, but then it just doesn't work any further. I can STILL play my EA games, but i fear when there's an update I wont be able to play. Because the app itself wont load up and allow me to see my library nor check anything.Anyone else have this issue? In another topic somebody wrote that complete uninstall and new instalation helps. So you can try it too. Try these steps:

Temporarily disable your anti-virus software

Run System File Checker to help ensure the integrity of your Windows System files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

Perform a clean boot before starting: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 or http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

I thought it is problem of old operating systems that they are not fully supported but you have the newest one. 🤔

So, Update; Figured out that it has an incompatibility with ultra wide monitors. So I disconnected the ultra wide monitor and it popped up on my other two, and now it shows up!. Weird that I didn't see anyone else have this issue.

What @EA_Barry (and other EA help folk) suggested above didn't solve my, sort of similar, problem either BUT try running sfc and dism AFTER performing a clean boot.
Now when I ran sfc and dism I was actuallly in safe mode with networking and had had to dig out an ethernet cable - so even more restrivtive than a clean boot - but in all the stuff I was trying I am pretty sure this is what solved the issue.

Just keeping on topic and agreeing, the EA App does not work for me either. When I submit a support ticked, it's instantly closed. I can't access my games of buy new games.

@CaptianGVPx16 Well that explains a lot...after an update the app stopped showing up...and I, too, have an UW. I am able to play most games by running them from their shortcut icons but, until this is acknowledged and fixed, I am not able to enjoy BF2042 as it refuses to launch outside of the EA app.
