Thanks for your post!
Hmm, that doesn't seem to work as it supposed to.
May I ask, have you tried the following steps already?
- Run the EA app as an administrator
- Clear the cache via Help > App Recovery > Clear cache
- Temporarily disable your firewall/ant-virus or make an exception for the EA app

I deleted all files/app data regarding any EA, disabled Windows Defender and tried re-downloading EA Play from Game Pass again. Did not work. I ran EAAppInstaller directly from files browser(from “This PC”) as administrator, still did not work.

@ShadowKnight9, that's very strange indeed. It looks like there's something on your PC that is blocking the app from installing correctly.
Can you maybe check if you're able to create a new Windows Administrator account and see if you can install it under that account?
This is a how-to: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account-in-windows-20de74e0-ac7f-3502-a866-32915af2a34d.- 4 years ago
I created a local account with admin permission, signed into Xbox than tried to download EAplay from Xbox, this did not work. I delete this local and all relevant data pertaining to EA. Created another local without admin permission and tried to download from EA website with main account permission, this did not work.
