It’s not letting me add this program to the list. I can add EAAppInstaller, but it still doesn’t work.
@ShadowKnight9there's this other thread that suggests a few fixes - have you tried these (esp. #4)?

This is one of the answers I can came across before I made the post, tried the ones relevant to me. I do not have special characters in my name but I tried part 2 of #4 but it didn’t work.
Now that I have been playing with it for awhile I noticed #2 does not look the same for me.If I type “EADesktop” nothing comes up but if I type
“EA Desktop” only a folder comes up but nothing is in it.
I also do not have “EADesktopInstaller” only “EAAppInstaller”. And I have no options for MSI.
Mayby it is an old version in the answer or maybe it’s because it’s a different region, not sure.

Hey @ShadowKnight9,
The EA Desktop app indeed got renamed to just the 'EA App'. Therefore it's possible that you don't have the EADesktopInstaller file on your PC. - 4 years ago
I saw a couple posts in that thread about the install not working for people who had a space in your Windows username... could that be it?
The .msi installer looks like it's linked in post #30 here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports-Technical-Issues/Can-t-install-reinstall-EA-Desktop/m-p/9958622#M6283
Also, given that this is a new laptop - is it running Windows 11? Or still on Win 10?
