So... I found a temporary solution to this for those who want EA Desktop App to generate shortcuts for you without having to reinstall the whole game; you can try it if you want
The other easy solution is to just go to the location of the `.exe` of the games and create the shortcuts by right clicking without doing all these steps, but I did these steps because I wanted the EA App to create them itself, so here are them:
- Close EA Desktop App completely, from the menu or right click on the system tray icon and then close it
- Locate the game installation directory
- Move the whole game folder to another location outside of the installation location
- Delete some key files of the game, it can be for example the `.exe` or files that are necessary for the game to work, and preferably they could be files that are small; the thing with this is that the application recognizes that there are missing files in the game so it will install the missing files, that is why it is preferable to use small files that are important so that the application does not take so long to reinstall them; and this is important because if the game recognizes that everything is fully installed it will simply say that the game was installed without making any changes
- Open the EA Desktop App, and it should recognize that you do not have the game installed
- Locate the game that you want to reinstall in the store, and before hitting the button to download and install it, copy the entire game folder that we removed earlier back to its original location, where the game was previously installed
- When installing the game, you must make sure that the option to create shortcuts is activated, and that the game location is correct, it must match the location of our game that we returned to its original location
- Once this is done, it should check for missing game files and install whatever is necessary for everything to work correctly; if it doesn't work and it says the game is installed without downloading anything, you'll need to repeat the steps and delete other different files that are important
- Once the installation is complete, you should have the shortcuts on your desktop; you can hit repair game if you're unsure or try it directly
For now, that's all I could do, until EA implements the feature of creating shortcuts for games in an easier way in the app
Thank you very much for your attention and you are welcome if it was useful to anyone
