I've literally been waiting a year for them to add command line arguments/launch options... And they still haven't added it??!?!?! Lol???? Huh???? How can something be in beta for over a year and have literally 0 improvements??? Im so confused. Not a single apex player is gonna use ea desktop without launch options. How is it not on the top of their priority list for the app? Ea is a mess lol

Hi @NiceThaddyTV,
For news about the changes that we have made to EA Desktop and more information about the features that we are working on, please check out our EA Desktop Trello Roadmap:

We certainly haven't been sitting still and we have made loads of changes, bug fixes and added a bunch of features. While your request hasn't been added yet, it could come at a later date.
- 5 years ago@EA_Jason Still no launch options for games? Guess I'll keep playing your games through Steam then.

@ODBradley Not yet, no.
But the request has been passed on and I can suggest keeping an eye on our Trello Roadmap for updates.- Georginatorcho5 years agoSeasoned Newcomer
It would be much appreciated yes, for games like NFS Rivals where without adding the 60 fps command line the game is basically unplayable at 30 FPS.

This is absurd - it should have been included in the very first public test, not "added at a later date". No serious Apex player would use Apex without it, it's just too important to getting good gameplay quality.

So this year Origin wont be anymore and this EA App dose not let me add commands? The function is there but anything you add gives an error.

It's truly mind boggling. You can make the EA App as pretty as you want, that's fine.
But if it doesn't allow the basic functionality of launch options that's crucial for many games, like competitive Apex and others, it's useless.

I play Dragon Age Origins on my PC, and had to add -enabletheconsole to the target line to include the command console to in game play. Ever since the update by EA, it no longer works. Since my game launches from Origin Games, do I need to change that to get it working again?
