How to disable the EA App launcher requirement for games

Is there a way to entire disable the EA App launcher? I'd love to be able to play my PAID FOR GAMES. The EA App launcher doesn't work, it will never work, just give up on it before you get even more ...

Just had this issue pop up after the last update. Tried everything in the forums short of total factory reset of my PC to no avail. I never thought I'd see a worse app than Origin. It's like the top brass at EA are literally cenobyte demons, crafting the perfect instrument of pain to force on their customers.
