Absolutely ridiculous that they haven't addressed this, the whole point of OFFLINE is that you are offline. I live in a remote area and the internet is unreliable. Plenty of other apps do not require you to go online in order to go offline - Origin didn't, Steam doesn't - surely it is a no brainer!!! EA is absurd for requiring online, especially since more than half the time the EA app is so glitchy, in the past fortnight it has required restarting several times to even acknowledge my account when I'm online - it manages to upload all the adverts and my profile just not my library. It feels so much like an app in Beta.
