ok so why does it have to verify every time? all you're doing is angering your customers how who paid money for these games! look you don't seem to care about this stupid app we don't either. if you gave us origin back no need to update it if you're too lazy it will just work better than this. you can just sit back and do nothing like you always do and let the money pile in and the customers will be happy. for real where are your "origins" ea got lucky and bought the right stock in toothpaste or something..... your opening theme in games you're involved in should be like, "ea games fund everything".

Hey all, even Steam requires that you be online when setting your Steam client to offline mode.
DarkoI Dunno if it's because I have beta Steam but I am not forced to go online when I manually disconnect my internet connection. I think it might depend on the publisher of the game, on whether a internet connection is required or not, to go into the offline mode. Besides EA I only have some SQUARE ENIX titles that require this always on forced internet connection to play games that are single player no internet abilities.
No it does not. Instead it offers offline mode if determining that there's no internet connection.
Without the need to be online first.
(I'm not talking about when you first install and set up Steam, which ofc does require internet connectivity).

You clearly get paid too much... Or not enough, I can't decide which direction...
Steam does not require internet to launch. At this time, all EA game players need to stop using the EA app. If it's available in Steam, get it there, if not, don't play it; simple as that. Power to the players!
