Re: Can't install EA Desktop App

I had to relog into my old account just to thank you for this. This is what fixed the issue.

It didn't work for me. What can I do?

hey, im having the same problem, i re-installed origin, logged in etc. I then downloaded the eaplay desktop file yet again and tried to run it as administrator, run it, run it from the Electronic Arts map etc, nothing worked and the only thing it does is open the picture i posted down below, nothing other than that happens. 

Same issue here, cannot install "EA Desktop" at all.

None of the solutions on this forum helped (registry, folders, etc).

From the .msi install log I can see an access denied error:

Exception while creating C:\ProgramData\EA Desktop: System.IO.IOException: Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\511c8495-4206-48ad-a812-5c8235d52b1a' is denied.

The 511c8495-4206-48ad-a812-5c8235d52b1a string is randomly generated at each install.

I can't run the EA reporter since it's never installed.

Any suggestions?

I'm having an issue where I try and install EA Desktop, it downloads and looks like it installs, but, nothing, it doesn't install,

I've tried deleting temp files, registry files, installing the MSI file, creating the folders and all the suggestions people have said and it just refuses to install?
