Re: EA customer service is OUTRAGEOUS

What is going on with this company? I recently unlinked my EA account from my original PlayStation account and linked it to a new one, under the impression that I could easily re-link it afterward. However, I was never informed by the first representative I spoke to about anything called a “Linking Pass” or its restrictions (as shown in the attached chat screenshot).

When I tried to fix this issue the following day, it turned into a complete nightmare. Every chat with EA support has been unhelpful — no one answers my questions directly, and several agents have even disconnected mid-conversation once they realize how simple the request is. I’m simply asking to have my EA account re-linked to its original PlayStation account.

To make matters worse, in my most recent chat, the agent couldn’t even locate where this supposed “Linking Pass” policy exists. I’ve read the official article thoroughly, and there is no clear mention of such a rule.

I’ve had five separate chats and not a single step toward a resolution. Every time I request a supervisor, my request is ignored or avoided. This level of service is beyond disappointing — it’s unacceptable.

If anyone from EA sees this, please help me out. This should be a simple fix — just return my account to its original PlayStation link. I’m genuinely at my limit with the lack of professionalism and support.

Hey PapICh4I0 we cannot help with account issues here on the forums. Best thing to do is take a read of the unlinking help article here: https://help.ea.com/en/articles/ea-account/unlink-ea-account/

When you link accounts, it creates a lifetime link to protect you from malicious activity and help prevent performance issues in your games.

You can unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account if you want to link them to a different EA Account, as long as that EA Account has never had the same account type linked to it before in its lifetime.

That means if you unlink an Xbox gamertag from your EA Account, you can’t link a different Xbox gamertag to it in the future.

Once you unlink a platform account from your EA Account and link it to a new one, you can’t unlink it again for six months.
