Re: Slow Download Speeds on EA app

Yep getting the exact same issue with my EA App, funny thing is, Origin worked just fine but apparently rather than just updating that app, EA decided that another contrived launcher was the best option. Massive multi-billion corporation knows best apparently.

My Apex update download is stuck on 'Calculating Time', though the update progress is going up, but at like literally kilobytes per second. At this rate it'll be time for the next update before this one finishes.

I've tried all the frankly ludicrous 'fixes' that have been suggested, including clearing the cache, re-installing the app (multiple times, multiple drives, same issue), flushing DNS, opening firewalls (you should never really have to do this but whatever.), opening ports. There are no other programs open taking bandwidth, and even then this should not be an issue, I can see that no other task is taking up bandwidth nor any other device on my network, I'm not sure why support insists on checking this as if it's some sort of big brain workaround.

The issue is with the application, not my network, not my router, not my hardware. It is EA. No wonder nobody wants to use glorified bloatware to launch their games because any form of fix is literally just to blame the consumer apparently.

Something for you guys to try/look at:

    1: ctl + alt + delete

    2: click on task manager

3: bottom of the task manager window hit "Open Resource Monitor" on the bottom left area (second one from left)

4: click "network" tab on the top

5: Give it a few seconds to load the list. You will see what is using your network and how much.

I saw the Razor and a few other software that should have been closes or exited and was still running.

For me Ea app is downloading at 2.3 - 5mb with a gig line that averages 800 plus mb with lan cable to router. Steam, Battle net, Epic all download at the 800mb mark. ONLY EA APP IS BEING LIMITED for SOME games not all. I can d/l 2142 and hit 500mb, but bf4 expansion? 3mb.

99% sure it is where the files are being hosted and older games in a lower tier bucket to save cost? Is the only thing I can think of.
