Unable to launch Battlefield 2042 via Steam

I purchased EA Play through Steam and BF2042 was previously only available as a trial through EA Play. I uninstalled it, but now that it is fully available I reinstalled the game via Steam, but the EA launcher crashes every time I try to launch BF2042 through Steam. When it prompts me to restart the app, it does not show BF2042 as an installed game. However, I can launch BF1 and BF4 and Fallen Order through Steam just fine and they also show in my installed games on the EA app. On the EA app it shows the game in my library with the "Steam" tag on the top left of it but does not say it is installed. When I go to the game's page it says I have previously accessed it through steam with less than 5 hours played. When I press "Manage" the only option it gives me is to purchase an edition of the game. I do not see any options to download the game or import it to the EA app or get some kind of handshake between Steam and EA for it. Is there any way to fix this issue?
