ＭacOS 26.1 Unable to update

I'm playing on my macOS Tahoe 26.1, and the game was working fine before.

But today, when I launched the game, it asked for an update, but the update kept failing. It displayed an error message: "Access denied at /Users/Cora/Downloads/The Sims4.app/Contents/CodeResourses_DiP_Staged, unable to update the game."

However, there are no folders under "The Sims4 app" in my folders that I can open! >< I haven't enabled any antivirus software, and I've restarted my computer, but why can't I update or play? QQ
