Background Services Crashed

I have attempted multiple times to relaunch the app, update it and uninstall/reinstall it to access the Sims 4. It comes up with this message and even when i click to 'run update', it says that it is unavailable. I have googled online and forums suggest I restart/delete the EAbackground services tab in the  Services section of my computer. Any assistance will be much appreciated!
