10661 error code while trying to download ea app on mac

Hi,

I've been trying to switch from origin to the ea app on my mac, I have the latest system update and everything, but it's not letting me open the .exe, because of an error 10661.

From what I've read online it basically means that the mac doesn't have anything to open the .exe installer with, so it doesn't recognize it as an app.

Does anybody else have this problem?

Does anyone have a fix?

I would really appreciate some help with this.

Correct. exe files are Windows files, macOS cannot open them. You cannot choose to switch to EA App by downloading it from the EA website, there it no Mac version available to directly download, you will receive a popup in Origin when the app is available for you to migrate to.
