Hi. I’m a NA region (USA) player with EA PlayPro subscription, recently switched to EA Desktop from Origin launcher.
EA Desktop does NOT list nor allow me to download my Battlefield 2042 to collections. Any help would be appreciated.
I was using Origin launcher to launch my Battlefield 2042, but with EA discontinuing Origin, I was forced to switch to EA Desktop launcher.
please help

I'm also a NA region (Hawaii) player with EA Play subscription. I've been happily using Origin for years but now that EA has disabled it I am stuck with the broken EA app.
The EA app does not recognize either Battlefield V or Battlefield 1 as being in My Collection despite having installed them via Origin. This was not a problem with Battlefield 2042 and others. I happily played BFV via Origin just yesterday.
Attempts to add BFV or BF1 to My Collection via the EA app fail. It steps through the usual "Stomping grapes ..." monologue but fails without further comment. Obviously, attempting to download either of these fails as well ("There's a problem with your download").
Attempts to fire up BFV or BF1 directly (e.g. bfv.exe) endeavors to launch the EA app which fails without comment. But if the EA app is already running the error is "You don't have access", suggesting that another user owns the game. Note that I am the only user on this machine and do indeed own the game.
The Origin app should be reenabled until this is fixed. It is unconscionable that EA disabled it knowing that the replacement app was broken: Games-missing-from-EA-App-library-but-available-in-Origin
