This is an urgent complaint regarding a regional block issue that has prevented me from purchasing any Sims 4 content through the EA app since August. (See attached JPGs)
The last time I was able to buy DLC was back in July with the Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack. Since then, I have been completely unable to purchase new content, including the new Grange Mudroom and Essential Glamour Kits, even pre-ordering the upcoming Adventure Awaits EP. I have tried every single troubleshooting step available for the EA app, over and over again, and nothing works. This is not a local issue on my end... this is clearly a problem with how EA is handling regional restrictions.
I know from the EA Forums that The Sims 4 and its DLCs are blocked in certain regions (China, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Syria, and Egypt). But I live in Lebanon, which is NOT one of those regions. There is absolutely NO REASON why I should be facing this restriction.
I have been a loyal EA customer and Sims player for over 20 years and have spent a significant amount on Sims content. I have always purchased my content legally, directly through the EA app, without ever having any issue. I have always used the same payment method over the past 5 years, so the problem is definitely not from my end. And even the 6 advisors I have addressed this issue to on EA Help confirmed that my EA account is completely clean, clear, and legitimate... I don't understand why I am being prevented from buying anything, despite not living in a restricted country.
This situation is unacceptable. I am demanding immediate action to investigate and resolve this issue. I have addressed this problem 5-6 times so far with several advisors here on EA Help, and none have confirmed whether this matter is permanent or temporary, and when it is going to be resolved. EA must fix this problem without delay. I am asking you to escalate this matter to the highest level, because a lot of players have been affected and we are being unfairly locked out of content we have every right to purchase.
I expect a clear explanation AND a solution urgently. Please treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves!!
