Battlefield 6 Coins (EA App to Steam)

I redeemed a code on the EA App for 2400 BF6 coins. The EA App stated the code was accepted. This code cost me $20.

The proper Steam account that I play BF6 on is connected to my EA App.

The coins have not shown in game. I have waited over 48 hours, cleared cache, even re-installed the game.

I contacted EA help and it is hands down the worst experience...bottom line nothing has been resolved and I feel like I just got robbed of $20. EA help is literally either incompetent or simply don't care. They just restart the conversation and do not read any previously provided details. Worst experience with customer service ever.

Can anyone assist?

Thanks,

Keith

  • If you redeemed a code for Battlefield Coins in the EA app, you’ll need to launch Battlefield 6 through the EA app for the coins to show up in-game.

The same applies if you redeemed a code on Steam -- you need to launch the game through the platform where the code was redeemed for the content to appear. Redeeming something on one launcher and expecting it to automatically show up when launching through another, unfortunately, isn’t how it works, even though the game itself supports cross-platform play.

    Hope this helps.

  • Okay.....the game is on Steam and the EA App does not show BF6. How do I launch BF6 (On Steam) through the EA APP? I'm a assuming at this point I'm screwed $20.

  • Solution actually discovered by myself using EA_Leeuw's advice.

I downloaded REDSEC (free to play) through the EA App. Started the game through the EA App and of course the 2400 coins displayed in game. I then closed the game and the EA app and then logged in Steam and launched my paid for BF6. The coins were now associated with my account and all is well in the universe. THANK GOD REDSEC is free to play otherwise I think the coins would be lost to the EA App version.

I think many others are having this exact same issue and this solution works!
