Battlefront 2 shutting down from Origin Client being terminated - Error

I cant play any EA games because the client keeps shutting itself down. it only produces the error in the title when im in game. the game runs fine. the EA app just closes itself without errors if nothing is running. i don't have origin installed and there are no left over files to suggest its there. 

Ive tried. 

Uninstalling - reinstalling the game and app

Downgrading my GPU drivers for my Nvidia GTX 1080 to an older one

updating my PC.

checking for viruses. 

closed all anti virus apps down

Disabled in game overlays

Checked event viewer. 

Checked DxDiag. no issues found there

Killed my firewall.

the only thing i can honestly say at this point is that the main game is installed on a different hard drive to where the client is. but the game is not whats causing the app to close.

Nothing works

EA's silly little AI chatbot is useless and they have ignored my tickets. i have uploaded the only report that may show something. there are no other recorded errors i can produce
