Can’t get EA app on Mac

I have a mac laptop and play sims through Origin, i know it is moving to the EA app now so tried to download it.

It says  10.15.5 ios is needed for the app, but my macbook shows no futher updates and it is currently at 10.13.6.

I get that its an older laptop (2017) but it runs perfectly, but now i will not be able to access sims which i have spent a heck of a lot of money on!
