Cannot link EA/XBOX because EA Desktop will not respond with XBOX Application

Summarize your bug Problem is that I log into the XBOX Game PASS PC application, then download the EA Desktop application and then I cannot link the XBOX and EA accounts because the window for the link option pops, and goes away. I cannot uninstall the EA Desktop application from Windows 10 Add/Remove programs because it runs the uninstaller and then nothing happens. The application is still there. I cannot get games installed because of this problem.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It shows in the XBOX Game Pass install screen on any EA game you try to install from there. Nothing in EA Desktop shows I am linked in XBOX.
What happens when the bug occurs? It gives an error on the XBOX application and EA Desktop doesn't do anything. give error details.
What do you expect to see? An option to link the EA / XBOX accounts together. And also the 2 applications working together.

Hi,
i had the same Problem, I think this is a Bug in the Xbox Account, here is the workaround that worked for me:
1) Go to help.ea.com
2) Click "Log In"
3) Sign in with Xbox live -> there is an option to sign in using XBOX credentials -> use the xbox account you want to link to your EA Account
4) Now he want a new EA ID -> type something in to create a new EA Account
5) Signed in with the new EA Accout go to "Accounts" -> "Connections"
6) unlink the Xbox Live Account from the new created EA Account (now the xbox Account is "clean")
7) restart your PC
8) Start the Xbox App and try to install an EA Play Game -> Now he ask you which EA Account you want to link
9) Sign in with your EA Account you want to link

tried, but it didnt help, now i cant unlink account in near few months. Is there any other ways to fix this problem?

I mean how to download the game. I got x-box live ultimate pass but cant install the game becouse of downloadint didnt start in EA Desktop application, wherever i do (reboot, unlink and link again, update windows,...) Game - Star Wars Battlefront 2. Help please.

Summarize your bug While trying to access EA Play through Gamepass, I cannot link my account. I have tried logging in through EA Help with my Xbox account and it tells me that my credentials have expired. I changed my password like it asked and am still having the same problem. At this point I have a 0% success rate with the EA login system for EA play, and a very poor experience using Origin's login system for the past 6 years. I am very disappointed that a company such as EA has failed to make a functional login system for such a long period of time.

I just want to play Titanfall 2. Figured I'd try since I got gamepass. Have been completely foiled by the most broken piece of software and login system I have seen in my life. I have attached a screenshot from when I did get logged in, and I think you can see why I uninstalled and didn't bother trying to use the program in this state. Since then I have not been able to get back in at all.

I don't know who moved my thread in here, but clearly they didn't read it since I mentioned using the solution offered in this thread with no successful results. 12/10 support from EA.
