Cannot open my game due to EA App error (Error code: EC:10005) Update: fixed

Is anyone else experiencing this issue when trying to open the game today? I just want to play! I hate having to go "through" the EA app just to play the game. It's so frustrating, and I wish we could just open the game itself without the EA app being opened. It's caused plenty of problems when I'm offline too...but that's a different story.

I have tried restarting the app (and the game) and my laptop, and exiting the app and reopening multiple times, as well as disconnecting and reconnecting to my wifi to no avail.
