I think I’ve found a fix for pc:

1.go to task manager ( ctrl + alt+ delete)

2. Find the ea desktops and ea background services processes and end them both (right click , end task)

3.relaunch the ea desktop app and attempt to install again

    @xaneyboy Thanks!! It helped in my case (I couldn't add some of the games to the collection or download them - I only saw the message "something went wrong with your download")
