@mollymell When you open Finder, do Shift + Command + H, then Applications. If you don't see The Sims 3 folder, it might be installed in a different folder. You can also try opening Finder and in the search bar searching for The Sims 3 and find it's location in that way.

@puzzlezaddict Not sure if we understand each other. It used to be in "The sims 3" folder but after the update to EA Games it's in "EA Games" folder. I'm attaching screenshot. 🙂 Thank you

@BarboraZak Please open System Settings > Security & Privacy, click the lock to make changes (you'll need to enter your computer's password), click Full Disk Access in the list on the left, click the + sign on the right, and add Sims 3. Then see whether you still have the issue.

@BarboraZak Please run the App Recovery, which you can access by opening the EA app and clicking Help in the menu bar at the top of the screen. Then restart your computer, and try again.
