Can't turn off automatic start EA app

The EA app should not launch when you sign in to Windows once both the app setting and the relevant Windows settings are disabled.

Please try these steps:

1. Open the EA app and go to Menu > Settings > Application.
2. Turn off Open the EA app automatically on startup.
3. Open Windows Settings > Apps > Startup, find the EA app, and switch it Off.
4. You can also press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, select Startup apps, right-click the EA app, and choose Disable.
5. Go to Windows Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and turn off Automatically save my restartable apps and restart them when I sign back in. Windows can otherwise reopen apps that were still running when the PC was shut down.
6. Fully exit the EA app from the system tray, restart the PC, and test again.

If the setting inside the EA app continues switching itself back on, open Menu > Help > App Recovery > Clear cache, then set the startup option to Off again.

Disabling the startup entry will not uninstall the EA app or affect your games. It will simply require the app to be opened manually when someone wants to play.
