EA app is censoring literally EVERYTHING. Please help
I don't know what's going on, but my EA app appears to be completely broken, perhaps I have a penalty on my account but as far as I know I do not because I already checked for that. This started happening a few days ago. I was beginning to type to my friend, when all of sudden, every message and word I was sending was coming out as a "### ##### ### #####" literally every single time. I asked "How was your day today?" and it censored that. It's literally censoring everything I type and nobody can understand what I'm saying unless I type them over discord. I've never seen this before. I knew EA was garbage, but I didn't think they would have such an insane filter that would completely act on it's own and just blindly silence everything I would say... This is a serious issue, and as far as I can tell, my friends are not having this problem. So what is going on? I'm going to submit a ticket and hope I can some answers, but feel free to help me out here because I'm tried re-installing, checking penalties and even clearing the cache, and nothing is working... Hi all, For last few weeks, the right side of the EA app is in indefinite loading screen. My profile pic, status and friend list are a part of this infinite loading screen, PFA. Because of this, in game friends who are online don't show up as well as I don't show as Online for my friends. I have no issue playing the game but I am no longer able to play with my friends. Tried the following but nothing helped: App uninstall and re-install. Delete reg edit entries, clear local data after EA uninstall and reinstall. Delete Apex legends and EA app, delete all involved folders, local data, reg edit entries and reinstall. Restart router. Hello, On the right side of the EA app, the friends UI never loads. Also (likely related) in Apex Legends, the friends always shows as 0 out of 0 despite me having friended people. I cannot invite people to my party. This issue only happens on my home network, hotspot works. Tried the following: Clear cache Reinstall EA app Redownload installer and reinstall Ports already opened Repaired Apex Legends Signed in/out I can send logs but I don't know if they're sensitive nor do I know how to redact them so I'll send only to official EA support accounts Also attached packet captures, as you can see in the one with an X on it, the server never responds to the websocket messages, but in another capture which I won't attach because presumably it has sensitive information in it, server responds with my friends' usernames and some meaningful binary garbage I can't decypher. Hello EA Support Team, I am contacting you regarding an unexpected charge for an EA Play Pro subscription on my account. The amount charged was $16.99 USD, under Order ID: 1011125355968. I was very surprised to see this charge because I removed my payment card from my EA account last month, and I did not authorize or intend to subscribe to EA Play Pro. I have not used any of the subscription benefits, and I canceled the subscription immediately after noticing the charge. For this reason, I kindly request a full refund for this transaction. I'm seriously so frustrated! No matter how many times I contact EA support they never reach back to me, like what is up with that? No matter how many links I click to try to find the answer on the web is still doesn't help. It seems like so many others go through this problem but have no solutions? Somehow I am not able to purchase any ad ons from the app, no matter which one it always says it's not available. I tried login out and back in, nothing. I uninstall, also nothing. And this has been happening for such a long time. I even stopped playing sims for a whole year uninstall everything, somehow a year later it's still the same issue? At this point, I might just give up on EA / Sims 4 entirely. Please, someone help me, I just want to buy expansion packs, it's literally that easy. Hi everyone, About two days ago, the EA App suddenly stopped opening on my computer without any apparent reason. Until then, I was able to play my games normally, but now, when I try to launch the app, nothing happens — no error message, and the interface doesn’t show up. What I’ve tried so far: Ending all EA-related processes in Task Manager and trying again Adding an exception in the antivirus and even disabling it Running as administrator Changing compatibility settings Running EA App Recovery and EA App Update Submitting a report using EA Error Reporter (I have the ticket ID) Completely uninstalling and reinstalling the EA App Rolling back the latest Windows updates Still, the issue remains. Interestingly, the EA App appears as a running process in Task Manager, but the interface never loads. Even when trying to launch a game directly from its shortcut, neither the game nor the EA App starts. Additional info: Windows 11, version 24H2, build 26.100.3624 I work in IT and have technical knowledge, I’ve tried many solutions before reaching out here. No system changes or suspicious installations occurred between the time it was working and when it stopped. I honestly don’t know what else to do. For days now, I’ve been reaceiving this error code on my PC. I repaired the EA App, uninstalled and reinstalled it, checked my Norton firewall, reset my router, ran as Administrator and tried other fixes, but the error persists.
