Connection Issues on Corporate Network - Need Port and IP Range Information
I'm experiencing connection problems with the EA App while connected to my workplace network (a corporate network). The application often loses connection or fails to connect at all, and I suspect this is due to firewall or security restrictions on the network.
I contacted EA support, and they informed me that the application connects directly to your servers and not through a specific URL. To request my IT department to review the firewall configuration and allow the connection, I would need to know which TCP and UDP ports the EA App uses to communicate with your servers.
Additionally, if it's possible to obtain the IP address ranges of the Electronic Arts servers that the EA App attempts to connect to, this would be extremely helpful for my IT team to configure the necessary exception rules in the corporate network firewall.
Specifically, I would appreciate information regarding the ports used for:
The initial connection and authentication process.
Downloading games and updates.
Online gameplay (if applicable).
Any other essential application communication (chat, etc.).
Any information you can provide regarding these ports and IP ranges would be invaluable in resolving this issue and allowing me to enjoy the EA App in my work environment.
Thank you very much for your assistance!
Best regards,
Hi there,
Thanks for getting in touch.
Unfortunately, it won't be possible to provide detailed network configuration information like specific IP address ranges or server details.
I'd recommend speaking with your IT team to see if they can allow general access to gaming or entertainment services, as they may have broader settings or policies in place that could help.
Thanks for understanding.
