Cross- Platform Friends Issue

Hey Everyone,

I got Skate. on my laptop recently, and I have been trying to add an account on a Playstation as my friend, but thee account doesn't show up anywhere... I've tried searching his EA ID, Playstation id, and email, and his Skate. name on both the EA App and the in- game social menu, but it isn't showing up on either. When I search, I still see other accounts on PS, Xbox and others, and I do have CrossPlay and Cross Platform friends enabled,  but the account I'm trying to friend just won't appear... I've tried adding his friends to see if I can friend him through mutual friends or by making a party with a mutual friend and friending through a lobby, but i haven't been able to try this yet so time will tell, but I wanted to come on here and see if anyone else was having this problem/ get some ideas on what to try next. 

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions, I'll update this if I find the solution if anyone else has this problem.
