I am running the game on a laptop through Steam with no mods and close to 30 DLC packs of various sizes. The save I run I have had for a year-ish (pretty sure) without issue. I can get to the main menu and have no trouble navigating the shop/news/etc portions of it. When I am experiencing the problem, I can tell immediately when looking at the main menu. My sims (the save preview sims) will be missing entirely or missing clothing, tattoos, makeup, hair, pets, occult status, etc. Trying to load the corrupted save prompts me to purchase the missing content despite it still being owned in my Steam and EA accounts. This started happening to me almost immediately after the Nature's Calling event began. For a couple months I was under the impression that it was just me having a problem as I was able to fix it fairly easily with verifying the game files integrity through the Steam app. My save would look and load as normal. After the Fairy expansion launched, I began having it happen more frequently. Once I purchased the Fairy expansion myself it happened about half the times I would load up the game. I did everything to fix it. I was at my wit's end a couple weeks ago because all my usual tricks stopped repairing the game. That's when I took to reddit and the forums for help and realized it wasn't just me, it was game wide and cross console crashing. The issue persists. Sometimes I can fix it through the Steam file verification process, but not always. Half the time the game is playable, 25% of the time I can fix it through steam and play, the other 25% I have to go do something else because it's unplayable.
