Double Payments, Promised Refunds & Banning/Barring

I write this on behalf of my other half who has been a Sims 4 player for some extended time and a Sims Player overall for many years and has sunk a lot of real world funds into this game and previous .   

A month ago a double payment was taken in thereabouts the amount of £45 for Sims4 Packs and content.  After speaking to an operative initially a refund was promised as it was clear the pack wasn't purchased twice.  This was paid with PayPal, which at first glance seemed to double charge with a pending charge. (I've also had this issue recently when setting up Pay in 3 which then ended up charging me once at the overall cost of £66.99 instead of the pay in 3 set up I had chosen to pay with.) 

3 weeks passed and after no sign of any refund nor any communication, my other half reached out again this time to PayPal to dispute the payment through them as it was obvious no refund was on the way at this point, to which PayPal obliged and refunded a payment though incorrectly at a total of 0.08p returning.  

This has all been highlighted during the course of this situation for her to now have been barred and banned as well as having the packs taken off her after receiving a 0.08p refund from PayPal (their mistake at this point which is an entirely different issue) for only wanting to have HER money back for a double payment.  

After she has dealt with an operative today who has tried to argue her case  and agreed with her to their management they have also denied any course of action or refund.   The irony is their upper management has stated they can't refund the game as they don't own it?   EA who owns the IP to the Sims don't own a game that MAXIS a division of EA produces the game don't own it? 

After having looked through others posts in the last 3 months it seems apparent that this is a trend and one that isn't showing signs of any solution and at this point and leaves nothing but a sour taste in the mouth with one how this has been dealt with by management and two seemingly hasn't got a resolution in site. 

I await to hopefully have some feedback in regards to this and share this event with the community.

    Could your other half perhaps reach out to me via DMs here on the forums with every detail about the situation, numbers, case IDs, account IDs involved, invoice numbers, etc., and I will see what I can do.
