Download Error Following EA App Update for SIMS4 (MAC)

Question

I am a longtime SIMS player and the recent update has caused me issues. As you can see in the enclosed photo I cannot proceed past 2%.

I am using a Mac and have done the following:
- Cleared my cache
- used the app to attempt to recover

- delete/reloaded the app

Since then I have still have not exceeded 2% update before for some unknown reason it indicates a download error. (This has been going on since the update last week.)

2 options have been provided to resolve it via Twitter however they requested a fee to facilitate which, I do not feel comfortable paying to fix a game I've already purchased.

Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, I just followed those steps and I am still getting the same error message. I was able to play my game for a couple of days and now that the new update is out now, I can't update it again.&nbsp;

Whoever asked you for a fee on Twitter/X is a scammer exploiting people.

Can you attempt a manual reset of the EA App - https://bluebellflora.com/2024/04/04/ea-app-recovery-for-mac-reset-ea-app-by-clearing-cache-and-other-files-manually/

Then go into System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access and check EA App has access enabled.

Then launch EA App, login, and attempt to update your game.

@Filmscored im getting same issue. havent been able to update since the hotfix for lovestruck came out
