Did you restarted the PC? (A real "Restart",not just shut down and start again.)
Did you tried to run EA app as Administrator?

Please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.
Never mind, just got it installed. Didn't do anything today so not sure why it was so much trouble yesterday. Thanks for replying though. For anyone with the same issue in the future, I guess try waiting till the next day?
