EA App and game going offline

Over the past few years I have had issues when playing Sims 4, since the new EA app came out. Quite often during gameplay I get the message that the app has gone offline. It isn't an internet issue, this has occured with different internet providers and I have ran diagnostics on it.

During gameplay with the quests through the game, I can't redeem any of the event prizes, even when it stated I am online.
