Try uninstalling the EA app, downloading and reinstalling again.  It seemed to remove some Origin components during uninstallation.

More than a year after the initiation of this thread I went Google searching for my issue to see if I am the only one.

It doesn't appear so. In my case, the EA app shows a message that it sees I am back online and provides a button to reconnect. It fails to reconnect every time and does nothing. My only work around is to restart Windows 11 if I want to use the EA App.

  • I've the same issues for ages, glad it's not just me, but has become a real pain.  Usually I go into task manager, kill the app and then it restarts, so I created a batch file to automate it.  Had do the same with a couple of other apps as clearly developers these days are useless and never test anything thoroughly before updating or rolling out new versions.
