    @Wiadson Yet another fix is if you have installed any antivirus such as Malwarebytes, uninstall it and check if the issue is resolved.

    delete file "host"

      @aWF9F Dude, are you kidding me???? I've been trying to fix this problem for like 3 months. I tried everything that's been discussed here and not only here but other forums as well, and this simple solution helped!!! Thank you soooooo much!!!

      Here is:

      network ipv4 only, static adresses

      and inside fritzbox "wpad" filter set to on.

      go to your folder: /windows/system32/drivers/etc/

      open with a text editor the file "hosts"

      and insert a new line with the content:

      127.0.0.1 WPAD

      now the ea-app will start fine, always.

      its also possible inside the fritzbox (router) set the wpad-filter to off.

      but in terms of security, i do not recommend this.
