Anyone found a fix for this yet?
I found something that works for me. If when you launch the app nothing happens Check the task manager for all EA programs. there is an EA task for (EA services) check the bottom of the task manager.
Thank you so much this helped me out! This bug has been annoying me for months, used to have to restart my computer to sort it out.
When I checked task manager there was a program running with "EA background" in the name while the app was closed. When I ended this task the launcher allowed me to open the EA app again, no restart needed!
