I am beyond frustrated. I bought FC 25 on Steam, and after one of EA’s updates, the EA App completely broke. I’m stuck with this message every time I try to launch the game:
"An error on our end caused the launch to fail."
Let me be very clear — this is not a local issue. Here's what I’ve done so far:
Reinstalled Windows TWICE
Created a brand-new EA account
Completely wiped every trace of EA from my system (AppData, ProgramData, registry, everything)
Reinstalled EA App with admin privileges
Tried launching through Steam after unlinking and relinking accounts (still blocked from unlinking for 6 months)
No antivirus or firewall interference
Updated all drivers, Windows, and Steam
Still the exact same problem. EA logs show this repeatedly:

criticalOffline: true
platform: steam
So explain this: how can it still be broken on a clean Windows install with a fresh EA account? This is clearly a backend issue or account-platform-linking problem on your servers. And now I’m locked into this broken link to my Steam account until September 2025?!
I’ve seen other people with the exact same symptoms and NO official fix. Just generic advice like "reinstall" or "clear cache" — none of it works.
You sold me a broken product. Fix your **bleep** launcher.
Either solve this or give people the ability to unlink their Steam accounts immediately so we can start over without your broken backend blocking us.
I demand real support, not silence and copy-paste replies.
Logs available on request. If this isn’t resolved, I’ll escalate to Steam and request a full refund with all supporting evidence.
