To anyone still having issues - but I fixed it today in the most outlandish way I could possibly imagine. I had English US deleted from my PC language packs since I'm from the UK, installing this fixed EA App. Somehow.
Not sure what language you use normally, but I'd recommend grabbing English US or if you already do, any other random English pack you can find.
You find it in your Windows 10/11 settings.
POSSIBLE FIX
I was using English as my language but my country is Germany.
When I switched the language to German to match my country, it fixed it for me.
So yes, it had to do with the languages for me.
