EA app Fails to Remember "Keep me signed in" Option

Summarize your bug I have to type my password every time I start EA App
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? start the EA App type password and choose save password. Next time log in or next day you have to log in again
What happens when the bug occurs? It does not remember the password, I have to type my password every time I start EA App
What do you expect to see? It remember the saved login details, like every other game launcher!

It is ridiculous that in 2023 this game launcher still cannot save login information. This has forced me and others to stop buying games from EA and buy them on the steam app which remembers login information

hi there, recently many of us complaining EA launcher requires log in every time after you close the app or shut down you PC. sometimes 'keep me signed' in doesn't work. I had this issue and somehow it got fixed. I'm not so confident about whether it's gonna Fix for others as well. mainly it is happening because of 'Start up' AKA 'Open app when computer starts'.

Based on my experience, even though it has 'turned on' in the EA App setting but it seems like it doesn't work actually. i noticed in my task manager's Start up tab EA app isn't there. So i decided to add it manually. and somehow it worked

so did these steps (keep in mind i'm not sure i'll work. so it at your risk)

  1. Open the file location of the shortcut by right clicking the shortcut
  2. Copy the 'EA launcher" application 
  3. Now Run by 'Win+R' and type 'shell:startup'. Then paste it there
  4. Restart your PC.
  5. You may find a dialogue 'libcrypto-1_1-x64.dll was not found. Re-installing it may solve the problem'. (i have no idea about it so I didn't download and re install it). instead downloading it, i opened Run by 'Win+R' and type 'shell:startup' and delete the EA launcher app shortcut. then restart the PC. After that the dialogue didn't pop up.
  6. now open EA app. 

Hope it works. I realised back in Origin i used to have this same issue. so i allowed this app to open when my PC starts and it got solved. but in EA launcher, it doesn't work. somehow windows cant find the EA app on Start up. I highly request to the EA App developers to solve this issue
